Microsoft reveals 'Halo 4,' revamps original game

It's the news gamers and "Halo" fans have been hoping to hear — Microsoft and company are working on a brand new "Halo" game as well as polishing up and re-releasing "Halo: Combat Evolved" to mark the 10th anniversary of the original game's historic launch.
"Halo 4" is under way and will mark the dawn of a brand new trilogy, Don Mattrick of Microsoft Interactive Entertainment announced at a Monday morning press conference in advance of the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo taking place in L.A. this week.
Microsoft showed off a teaser trailer featuring the famed Master Chief and Cortana and revealed a launch time of holiday 2012.
Meanwhile, Microsoft revealed the much-rumored original 'Halo' revamp. The game will be called "Halo: Combat Evolved, Anniversary."

On a giant screen above a packed audience, they showed off the remastered game with its polished graphics (the old Master Chief is now looking good for his age.) And they promised classic multiplayer maps that have been enhanced and updated for Xbox Live, a fully remastered campaign, and co-op play over the Xbox Live game service.
The game will launch Nov. 15th. Yes, it's actually been 10 whole years since it first launched on the original Xbox.
