Google launches YouTube channel honouring fallen journalists

YouTube teamed up with the Newseum in Washington to launch the Journalists Memorial channel which will honour those what have died around the world while reporting news.
Announcing the new channel, Steve Grove, head of YouTube News and Politics, said: ‘The risks and sacrifices that many have made in order to provide us with accurate information is remarkable.
‘On the Journalists Memorial channel you can watch a collection of videos representing these journalists’ lives and their work.
‘This channel will become a digital version of the Newseum’s Journalists Memorial, which is re-dedicated annually to honour journalists worldwide who have died during the preceding year.’
Earlier this week, Google also announced planned changes to Google News, which is hopes will provide ‘greater story diversity with less clutter’.
