Google India released Street View In India.
7:07 PMGoogle India today announced the launch of ‘Stret View’ in India, starting with Bangalore. You may check out Google Street View India but be alerted that Google says “Google Maps with Street View lets you explore places around the world through 360-degree street-level images. Street View imagery is not available for India, but this map shows the places you can see using Street View“. We’re quite sure Google isn’t competing with anyone in this space that they launched the service hurriedly.

Google Street View was first launched back in May 2009 in the US. The service uses Google Maps along with the actual photographs of the place to give you a rich & detailed maps. Since then, the service expanded to over 27 countries before making an entry in India today. The street view will be first made available to the Bangalore users and more cities are expected to be covered soon. Google captures the images of the road with the help of special cameras mounted on cars and the ‘Google Trike’ - a specially designed three-wheel pedi-cab with a camera system mounted on top. The trike will roam around the the select locations in Bangalore over the next few days. Check out following video that shows the Google Trike in action:-
