Samsung Galaxy Tab Helps Increase Android Market Sale Numbers

1:10 AM

t seems this is the period when the last quarter of 2010 is analyzed by every company in the IT business. So we think it would be a good idea to look over the tablet market a little.
With people still waiting for Android 3.0 Honeycomb that Google will speak about on February 2nd it appears that the Android tablet market is increasing its numbers. This conclusion was made by market research firm Strategy Analytics.
For example in Q4 of 2010 Android tablets have reached to 22% market share increasing with 2.3% in comparison to the previous quarter. One tablet that helped this happen is Samsung’s Galaxy Tab.
Going a little in a different sector Apple sold 7.3 million iPads in the last quarter which counts for 75% of global shipments in Q4 2010. Although the number is impressive this is a drop from the previous quarter when Steve’s company had the 96%. For Samsung the 2 million Tabs sold is a good number because the shipments and commands are increasing each day.
Things look great for Android OS especially with the Honeycomb release coming and Google holding the Wednesday meeting. As for Apple, pretty sure the next iPad will be a hit but numbers are decreasing. No matter what kind of tablet you love one thing is for sure: things are getting better and better!
